Nashua area cake artists take top prizes in shoivMany Nashua area cake decorators of all ages won ribbons and trophies at of the Sugar Delight Club cake decoratingReceiving awards in the children's category for special techniques were Carissa Gagne, first prize for 7-year-olds; Tracy Decker, second place for 12-year-olds, and Scott Curtis, third place for 11-year-olds. For all occasions. Stephen Harry, second place for 13-year-olds and Matthew Drouin. third place for 10-year-olds.Beginner decorators who won awards were Kathy Bricker. first place and tropy for all occasaion: Barbara Garant. second place; Gail Hebert, third place and Beverly Bara, third place in specialty for beginners.Intermediates were Ann Kendall, first place in wedding cakes, and Brenda Poirier. third for all occasions. Carole Faxon took the trophy and first prize in the advanced wedding cake category.Taking ribbons in the decorated items were Pauline Gagne, second place for gum paste and Carole Faxon, first place and Claire Dupuis, third place for sugar molding.Ruth Drouin. took a ribbon third place and Betty Moore a first in the foreign cake decorating methods and Claire Dupuis and Pauline took second place prizes in the professional category.
