Mercer basked in a veritable field of flowers as they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Van Nuys home of their son Robert O. Mercer.In addition to the family party there was a shower of cards from all over the United States, 4 including Hawaii and Alaska.New Address NowResidents o f Sherman Oaks until 1951, the Mercers now have an address in Meadowbrook Woods near Lake Arrowhead where they are breeding Siberian huskies.They came down for the party to discover that an open house had been arranged, in addition to the family get-together. Relatives on hand included the Russell Mercers of Reseda, 1 Rose Marie Mosley of San i Bernardino, the James Wil-- liam Mercers of Sherman- Oaks and the Richard E.1 Mercers of Canoga Park.Also attending were‘•Mrs.- Mercer’s sister Miss Edna • Bunger of Lake Arrowhead s and a brother Ed H. Bun-. ger and family of Facoima.2 Golden punch and a gold cake were shared by guestsat the open house which was followed by the family dinner.Here From Detroit Among those who paid their respects to the couple were the Theo Shubergs of * Los Angeles who came to California from Detroit in 1920 with the Mercers who now have 12 grandchildren ranging in ages from 21 years to five months.Mr. Mercer was born In Lebanon, Ohio, and Mrs. Mercer in Lewisburg, Ohio, where they were married on March 23, 1910.Mr. Mercer retired from the J. A.
