MRS GOLDIE C. BLAHA, 73, widow of J James Blaha, formerly of Mt Vernon Terrace, died at 9 p m Friday at the Beatitudes Campus of Care Center, Phoenix, Ariz She had been in failing health for the past Jjtoo years and in Septemb^rT!t973, had moved toArizona, to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Stanley Fly III Mrs, Blaha had been a guest at the Care Center for the past eight months She was born in Waynesboro, Nov,. 24, 1901, daughter of the late Harry T and Laura C (Beard) Shearer All her life was lived in ! Waynesboro prior to moving to Phoenix two years ago. :Her husband died in February, 1955 Mrs Blaha was a member of the Church of the Brethren She had also been a member of the { American Legion Auxiliary 1Mrs Blaha is survived by a daughter, Mrs Stanley Fly III, i Sun City, Ariz., a grandson, a * sister, Mrs Arlene Hamil, Hanover, 111 ; and four brothers, Edward E Shearer, Hershey, C Donald Shearer and Ralph J Shearer, both of Waynesboro, and Fred C Shearer, Chambersburg The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev Samuel H Flora Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery There will be no viewing.
