Holmes, Houk Hand, j ,* i kIS John Raley, and others.i3 j Mrs. Raley was born f7 years ago, j \ (March 2d. 1SA2), on the farm of her1 father. John L. Kaufman, three miles east of Merom, and was married to ; Jeff J. Raley 40 years ago. Soon after s* ’ their marriage they moved to Pilot Point, Tex., where they resided several years. Mr. Raley died nearly two r‘ ; years ago, and the family continues to j• Ic” | live in the same residence, although j i all her sons are grown and doing for themselves. The family came from Kentucky. There her father was born nearly 81 years ago, near Louisville, being the son of Abraham Kaufman, a Sullivan county pioneer. Pier mother was Diana McCrary, who died 42 yearstago, a sister to the late Aunt Betsy South and Winfield and James McCrary of Hutsonville, 111. While theoccasion was very enjoyable to all, there was certainly no one in the company who enjoyed it more than Mrs. Raley. The day was all that could be desired and near its close the relatives and friends dispersed, wishing Mrs. Raley many returns and a continuation of the good health which she enjoys.(]X
