Gollos, Muscatine, Iowa.Dear Sir: In regard to inquiry * The Goebel Tragedy,” i personally guarantee it not to be a citron. The picture not only shows the actual shooting, but also the political meetings leading up toassassination, the scenes in the court room during the trial of Caleb Powers and all the thrilling episodes which have stirred the whole country and which are likely to be repeated if ex-Goveruor Taylor is ever brought to bar charged withcomplicity in the murder of Goebel. The man who arranged the pictures, Mr. J. H. Moore, of Mildred. Ky..was for years closely identified with Kentucky politics. He worked for weeks and weeks on the posing of the pictures, so thaf they are letter perfect. Wheen hefirst approached me with the proposition to sell me the exclusive right to the film, I said: “Not for me; too sensational. Not good for the moving picture business.” But he insisted that I should at least project the film on the screenin inv demonstration room and size if up for myself. Well, sir! I was amazed, thrilled and thunderstruck. I have seen thousands of films in my time and have become rather hlase. But I want to say to you that tiiiv onemade me sit up and take notice! I saw instantly that it would be the feature film of the year, and I snapped it up. When the Muscatine people see it in the great and magniflent Bijou Theater next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, they aregoing to get the biggest show of the year, and they are going to talk about your entertainment and pack the house from the top row of seats in the gallery to the brass rail in the orchestra pit. I wouldn’t say this if 1 didn’t know it to be true.CARL LAEMMLE. President Laemmle Film Service.• 'J : \»HI F— » ■HU——Cir vchainpionship series tonightnmirrnrnsTr o.tatroinmended.
