Inschos to observe golden anniversaryMr. and Mrs. T. Prank Inscho of 20010 12 Mile Road will be the guests of honor at an open house to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2-5 p.m. April 7 at the Convis Union Methodist Church.The Inscho’s were married April 9, 1929 by the Rev. Fish of the Bethany Baptist Church of Pontiac.Inscho came to the Battle Creek area from Pontiac during the Depression. After moving to Battle Creek he was employed with Post Products of General Foods. Before coming to Battle Creek he was employed at the Fisher Body, General Motors, plant in Pontiac. Re retired from th$ Post factory in 1967 after 36 years of employment.Mrs. Inscho was employed by the Pontiac State Bank before moving to Battle Creek. After moving to Battle Creek she was employed in the advertising department of Post Products, (Postum), for seven years and two years at the downtown Sears store.in Battle Creek, being at the time the first and only woman in the tool room. After 18 months with Eaton’s she enrolled in a practical nursing course and graduated in the ninth practical nursing class from Community Hospital. She retired from Community Hospital in 1966.Both attend the Convis Union Methodist Church where Mrs. Inscho isa member. Mrs. Inscho also served eight years on the District level for the Methodist Church, serving as a membership chairman for the Calhoun County area. She is also a member of the Women’s Society and Circle of the church. Both are members of the Post 25 year club.The open house will be hosted by theirchildren and grandchildren: Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Smith and Daniel, Martin, Marcia and Jeffery of Canoga Park, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Smith of Battle Creek; Mary-Helen Edwards and Thomas, Gary, and Patricia of Battle Creek. The couple also has six great-grandchildren.It is requested that no gifts be brought.During World War II she took special training in tool and die making and went to work at the Eaton Corporation
