Taken, a native Dtnbuquer and well known here, celebrated th© twenty-fifth anniversary of his ordination at Eagle Center on Monday, The silver jubilee was the occasion of a fitting* religious celebration in which a large number of clergy and Father Taken* s parishioners took part.Father Taken was born in Dubuque fifty-one years ago, a son of the late Bernard and Alice Taken* early res. idents of this city. He was educated at fit. Joseph’s cottage, Montreal Seminary and fit. frlkieif Semi nary, Milwaukee. His ordination to the priesthood took place in the Cathedra! hereon March 19th, 1892* Archbishop Hen. nesay officiating.Following his ordination, Father Taken labored for six years at ForestCity and then went to Eagle Center,where he has served os pastor continuously, Father Taken’* nineteen years of service at Eagle Center havebeen productive of great good fcr the people of that sect ion.
