Penn Run Couple Wed 50 YearsMr, and Mrs. Russell Altimus of Penn Run celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, March 10, at Penn Run Harmony Presbyterian Church. They greeted their friends and relatives at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m.Alice Altimus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hoover, and Russell Altimus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Altimus, were married March 5, 1924, by the Rev’ J. B. Baker in the parsonage of the Indiana Zion Lutheran Church.Mr. Altimus was employed by Westinghouse Electric Company, Derry, for 40 years before retiring in 1963.They are the parents of four children: William of 81 East Pike, Indiana; Charles of Penn Run RD 1; Mrs. Wesley (Phyllis) Hoer of Camp Hill; and Fred of Penn Run RD X.Nine grandchildren complete the family.
