After Sixty Joyous YearsMr. and Mra. Abraham Albright celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary, Sunday. March 19th, at their home in North Liberty, after a great deal of careful planning. Returning Saturday from the home of their son, Uriah, where they had been invited the day before, in order that much cooking and baking could he done at home without exciting their suspicion, they were 'greeted by their daughter, Mrs. C. R.Hardy, who with her Husband and daughter, Edith, of Greene, Iowa, and the bride's sister, Tenn Iehl, of Marlon, Iowa, surprised the happy couple.After a night's rest, the bride and groom/’ despite the rain and cold that prevailed Sunday, arose cheerful and gay. Next came their son, Mr. J. M. Albright, of Marion, and his wife. Other relatives and friends from other points were their daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wiese, and son, John; Mrs. Alice Simpson, daughter of Wilma, and son, Glenn; son, Uriah, and wife and daughter, Beryl, and Mrs. George Sheldon, of West Liberty; the mdther of Mrs. Uriah Albright; Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Albright. Ceil M. Albright, Mike Kronmiller, a brother of the bride; Rev. W. H Thorn, and Rev. and Mrs. C H Stauffacher, of Cedar Rapids.Unable to be present at the lcs-tivities were three children (John W. Albright, Newtown, Penna ; Mrs. Eva Pooley, of St. James. Minn.; and Milton Albright,, of Woolsey, S. D, all of whom were greatly missed.A delicious dinner, not to be excelled, was served, relatives and friends bringing heavily-laden baskets, filled with good things. Mr. Hugo Wiese sent lolls from distant Anita, Iowa.One of the features of the joyous event was the reading of a beautiful poem, sent by Mr. C.M. Albright, of Overbrook, Kansas, a brother of the groom.A Bit of BiographyMr. Abraham Albright, the '•groom,” was born in York county, Pennsylvania, July 21, 183S, and is therefore almost 84. He crime with his parents to Johnson county in 1819.
