Edwin EliasonABERDEEN, Wash. — Edwin (Gunner) Eliason, 74, of Aberdeen, died Thursday, March 12, 1992 at his residence.Mr. Eliason was bom Feb. 20, 1918 in Anvil, son of the late John and Josephine Eliason. He attended local schools and was an avid hunter and trapper.He was married to the former Lillian Wirtanen and worked in the local mines. They moved to Aberdeen in 1963, where he was custodian at the Aberdeen High School.Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a brother, Matt of Aberdeen and two sisters, Mary Niemi of Bessemer Township and Saima Stein of Ironwood. Survivors also include John Eliason and Linda Leech, children raised by the deceased and his wife.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Oscar, John, Theodore and Eugene, and a sister, Eleanor.Services were held Monday, March 16 in Aberdeen.
