Johnson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with an open house held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gravett, Sunday, March 11. More than one hundred guests signed the guest book which was in charge of a grand daughter Mrs. Harley Miller of Centerville.Four granddaughters presided at the serving table, the refreshments being cake, punch, and coffee. They were Misses Carletta and Regina Johnson, Mrs. Don Gordy, and Mrs. Dwight Lawson.Mrs. Pearl Fouts, of Bloomfield, a sister of Mrs. Johnson, was an attendant at the wedding, and also at the golden wedding.Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were married March 14,1906 by Justice of the Peace, R. H, Henderson in Centerville. Their attendants were♦Miss Pearl Badger and ClarenceBadger, brother and sister of the .bride. They are the parents of six living children, Mrs. Pauline Gravett, Carl, Kenneth, Kendall. Quentin, and James, all of Bioom-field, and one daughter, Lucille, who passed away in childhood’ They have twenty-six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
