Celebrate Golden Wedding at Blue BallMr. and Mrs. Hiram R. OverlyMR. AND MRS. H. R. OVERLY MARK 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARYExtensive Program Features Open House Event at which About 100 Relatives and Friends Bring CongratulationsOn Sunday afternoon, March 3, “Open House -was held from 2 to 5 o'clock, by Mr. and Mrs. Hiram R. Overly, of Blue Ball, in' celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Approximately one hundred relatives and friends called during this time to help celebrate this happy occasion.An appropriate program was arranged for the afternoon on which Charles Meyer, of Lancaster, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Overly, played a trumpet solo. A prayer of gratitude for the long and happy life of the couple was offered by the Rev. G. Edgar Hertzler, of Harrisburg, son-in-law and Browning's poem, “Grow Old Along With Me! The Best is Yet to Be was given by Phyllis Mowrer, of Philadelphia, a granddaughter. “I Love You Truly, was sung by Mary Overly Hertzler who also read an original poem based on the 50 years of married life of the honored couple.Following the program refreshments were served to the following guests:Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Overly, Mildred Overly, Chester Overly, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Riker, John Overly, Peggy Overly, Fred Overly, Betty Overly, Hiram, II, Edward Overly, Kenneth Overly.Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mowrer, Phyllis Mowrer and Mrs. Albert Mowrer, Jr., Philadelphia; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Overly, and Shirley Overly, East Earl; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Meyer, Charles and Marie Meyer, of Lancaster; Rev. and Mrs. G.
