For the past two weeks she had been confined to her room by a severe illness, from which she had apparently recovered and was able to be downstairs on Thursday. On Bat* urday evening she was taken violently 111 and suffered intensely until the hour of her death on Monday afternoon, March 9lli, at two o’clock. The bereaved husband lias the sympathy of the entire community in his great loss.The home of Mrs. Jennie S, Brooks was the scene of a happy event Inst Thursday evening, when her son, John Edward, celebrated liis twenty-first birthday anniversary. The guests arrived at 7.30 and a very pleasant evening was ftjent in games and the usual social chat, Numerous presents were received.
