Strasser 50ttiG. Roger and Elsie Strasser, of Twelve Mile, will celebrate- their golden anniversary with an openhouse from 2 to. 4 p.m. Sunday,sfrMarch 19, in the Twelve Mite Community Building. The event will be hosted by their daughter and son-in-law and grandsons,Mr. Strasser and Elsie Helms went on a 4-H hay ride on their first date. Both graduated from Twelve Mile High School, They were married March 17, 1956, in the home of the Rev. Gilbert L. Maus, pastor of Corinth Brethren Church.Roger also graduated from Manchester College and taught at 1\velve Mile and South Caston High School for four years. He later worked for Peru Federal Savings Loan and Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He retired from Schwan Foods, Inc. in 1999. Presently, he works part time for Mike Anderson Pontiac.After graduation, Elsie was employed 13 years as a teller and assistant cashier at the Twelve Mile StateElsie Strasser and G, RogerBank, worked pail time as a medical receptionist and secretary, and retired from the US. Postal Seryice in TVrelve Mile.They have one daughter and son-in-law, Sara Cowell and her husband, Tim, and three grandsons, Seth, Zac and Tayt Cowell.
