JOE RECTOR of the Richview Road will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 14 with open house at the Illinois Power Company building, 2610 Broadway, between the hours of 2 to 5 p.m.They were married March 14, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, by the Rev. W. E. Lampp.Mrs. Rector is the former Minnie Whitseli.They are the parents of ten children, Wilford of Winnebago, 111., Donald of Waukegan, Paul of Kell, Wilma Larson of Plainfield, Jo Alice Walker, Mt. Vernon, Carol Mailer, Johnston City, Shirley Huff, Elkville, Mary Sumner, Herrin, and Thelma, at home. They also have 26 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One daughter, Roberta Gaskins, is deceased.All relatives and friends are invited to attend the open house and are asked to please omit gifts.
