w%Diamond Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs A. Arran of Glenboro celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Feb. 5, with a come-and-go tea in the C.E. Building, which 200 guests attended. It was followed bv a family supper, skits and a dance inthe I OOF HallMr and Mrs A Arran were married at Sidney, Man , on Feb. 7, 1923.Mr Arran was employed by the Cl* Railway from 1917, when he started in Douglas, Man From there he worked in several places as relief foreman. In 1923 he became section foreman at ( amp Hughes, moved to Plum Coulee in 1926, to Treesbank in 1927, and stayed there until 1945, when they moved to Roland They then moved to Glenboro in 1947, where they have since resided, lb' retired in 1963 and they continued to make their home in Glenboro. Mr Arran has been an Oddfellow for 37 years and Min Arran a Rebekah for 32 vears.Their seven children: Bea and Clyde King. Edmonton; Bob and Dorothy, Binscarth: .June and Herb N'or-dman. Cypress River; Marie and Don Steele. Glenboro; Jack and Donna. Beausejour; Bill and Dianne. Winnipeg; and Dorothy and Keith Vrooman, Mehta, all attended They have 19 grandchildren and i3 greatgrandchildren.They received congratulatory messages from Her Majesty, the Queen; Prime Minister Trudeau; The Right Honorable Joe Clark; Lieutenant-Governor of Manitoba Pearl McGonigal. Mr M A. McGonigal and Kim; Premier of Manitoba Howard Pawley; Sterling Lyon, and Charlote Oleson, MLA Gladstone; as well as many cards from friends
