Mrs. O. Usener Honored On BirthdayMrs Otto Usener was honored with a family dinner on her 80th birthday Sunday, March 2. at Andy's Diner Attending were five of her children, Paul Usener. Gertrude, Mrs. Clarence Lochte; Raymond Usener, At lee Usener, and Vernell, Mrs Harvey Eile-bracht; and their spouses. Unable to attend was a daughter, Elsie, Mrs Dee Olson of West Covina, Calif , her husband and chhdren, Sammy and Mary Jane Also attending the dinner were nine of her grandchildren. Two grandsons unable to attend were Stephen Usener, serving with theUS Army in Germany and Jerrel Usener, in the Army Reserve in Missouri.Mrs, Usener was presented a corsage of white carnations.Centerpiece on the dinner tablewas an arrangement of mixed flowers with a Happy Birthdayinscription.During the afternoon additional relatives and friends called to extend their best wishes. Refresh ments were served.AMrs, Usener still resides at her home on Hale Street where she enjoys her flowers and vegetable garden She is an active quilter with the Holy Ghost LutheranmChurch Quilting Society and enjoys a hobby of braiding rugs.
