Smith yesterday filed a bill of sale with the county clerk conveying to the Smith Refining company of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for the sum of $12,500 the entire plant of the Smithvinegar works and sorghum factory ofthis city. The vinegar works will be removed to Council Bluffs, where a new company has been organized with a capital of $25,000, and where it is claimed the business can be operated to much better advantage, on account of freight rates. Since the Smiths began the manufacture of vinegar here a couple of years ago in conjunction with the making of sorghum, their product has gained a wide reputation and the business has been steadily growing.
