J. B. Nelsons Observe 57thAnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Jacob Nelson of 623New York Ave.. who operate the Blue Top Motel, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Sunday at their home.Mr. and Mrs. Nelson were married in Gilford, Mo., Feb. 11, \900. They are the parents of three daughters: Mrs. Karl Pick-ron. Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Earnest Rogers. Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs E. L. Johnson, Creston; and one son Dr. W. L. Nelson, who makes his home with his parents. They have 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Mr. and Mrs. Nelson might be candidates for the lively elder title, for Mrs. Nelson. 78, and Mr. N'eLson, who recently celebrated his 79th birthday, prepared a lovely dinner for 22 members of their family Sunday.The honored couple received many lovely gifts, outstanding among them, a beautiful punch bowl and twelve fitted cups, a gift of three grandchildren. They were pleasantly surprised with a leather case full of Heinz 57 products.Those participating in the occasion were Dr. and Mrs. E. L. Johnson and Galene, Mr. and Mrs. Skippy Johnson. Mrs. Joyce Granger and Gina and Charles, and Dr. W. L. Nelson, all of Creston: Dr. Nelson's daughter. Shirley of Des Moines: Mr. and Mrs. James Lindman, Deborah and Michael, also of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Johansen of Ames, and Mr. and Mrs. JCmest Rogers, Allen and Wayne of Kansas City, Mo. Unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Pickron and Gary Lee of Springfield. Mo. and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brown and children of Des Moines.
