Grange(Continued From Page One)Mondays. This was approved on a motion made by Mrs. Moore andseconded bv Mrs. Henry Taylor.Mrs. Moore also gave a report of the Pomona Grange Planning Day, which was held at the Wilson County Agriculture Center last Wednesday. It was approved that the Elm City Grange put on the first degree for the Degree Day in April.Mr. Griffin, substituting for the smaster, asking for volunteers to assist in completing the landscaping of the Grange hall grounds and the setting of shrubbery. He set Monday, March 7, at 1 p. m., for the project. He also asked for help iin completing the woodwork and inserting the sink in the Grange building.C. L. Batten, agriculture teacher -♦ Elm City High school, brought out that the department he heads now has a new pickup truck. He thanked Lee Motor company for the contribution.A letter from Mrs. Harry B. Caldwell .”as read, in which she reminded the group that the Na-tonal Mutual Liability Insurance Company will pay $1 each for net increase in the chapter’s membership this year and $200 for the organization of apy new Grange unit with 40 or more members.Following the business session, refreshments were served by Mr. and Mrs. Willie Pender.
