Mrs. |2 Maple's maiden name was Mary Cage,el an I her girlhood Home was in Wash-1 el ington township. Her marriage to Mr.\ R Maple, took place at the homo of horih brother. James Cage, of that township. The bride was but 17 years of age. Mr. Maple has recently celebrated his 70th birthday.The 50 years of their married life have been most happily spent. They have earned the respect and admiration of ail with whom they came In contact, being a couple who were always ready to accommodate theirneighbors and assist their friends, j The early, part of their wedded iifo•.vaa spani on e form. He Is known as one of Waldron’s most progressive citizens.Mr. and Mrs. Maple have raised an Interesting family. They are the parents of eight living children. Thoy are Mrs. Clara English- of Waldron; *■O. Maple, whoso home Is in Michigan; Mrs. Minnie Endicott, wife of Oris Endicolt, of this city: E. O. Maple, of Vincennes; Mrs. Sadie Girard, wife of Ed Girard, of Rush county, near St. Paul; Delbert V. Maple, of Indianapolis; Harvey D, Maple, of Camp Sheridan, in Alabama, and Mre. Lena Hun-gorford. wife of Chlorls Hungerford, of Indianapolis. Their son. E. O Maple, is the superintendent of the Vincennes schools and is known as one of tho foremost educators tn the state.Mr. and Mrs. Maple did not hold any formal celebration of their anniversary. Tho absence of their son. Har vey, who is in military service, prohibited their getting all tho children together for a reunion. They were entertained to dinner Sunday by theR daughter.
