The immense table, set for ^ twenty-flt;5ur guests, was decorated with. *'a central bouquet of orange blossoms sent by; a cousin at Orange, Calif. Bouquets of golden jonquils adorned either end of the table. Even the menu, Itself, suggested the golden wedding, a large gold cake being the main color note.Seated with Mr, and Mrs, Shaw were their five children: Mrs. Cora Shifter, Long Beach,'Calif.; Mrs, Carrie Shield, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Chas. Poindexter and Clarence Shaw, Cherokee City, and Clinton Shaw, Shawnee, Ok. Other guests .were Mi's. Clarence Shaw and daughters Lpvetra and Ozella, Chas. Poindexter.and son Marvin, Mr. andlt;Mrs. Rob Yates, daughter Ima and sons Cole and Elton, all of Cherokee City: Mrs. Etta Howerton, daughter Et~ talee and son Sherman, of Gentry; Heam Shaw, Maysville: Mrs. Clinton Shaw and daughter Pearle of Shawnee, Okla.After the dinner, ■ Mr, and Mrs, Siiaw were surprised by a dainty gold basket4of gold pieces, all of which were dated 1882, This gift was a token of love from their five children, On the ..basket was a card with the following stanza of their own composition:Here’s to our Father and Mother, Who’ve kept us in.their fpld With their loving hearts that are sim-' - ilar .
