11Aged Farmer IJvrtl Near Mont-roseOver Fifty Years.IsMontrose. Iowa, Feb. 26.—Joel Spencer, seventy-nine years of age. j died her today. He was a widely-known farmer, having lived here over fifty years. He was a member of the Methodist church. His wife died a year ago, and deceased is survived by three children. He is a brotherof Louts Spencer, who was murderedin Kahoka, Mo., in 1875 by Bill Young.
