Norway.Munising Couple Will Celebrate Golden WeddingMUNISING — Mr. and MrsAndrew Kordish, residents here since 1924, will observe their 50thwedding anniversary Sunday,July 8, at their home, 330 EastMunising ave. They were married July 8, 1901, in Stari Trg,Jugoslavia.Mr. Kordish, 80, was born in Stari Tig, Nov. 29, 1870. Mrs.Kordish was born in Novi Kot,Jugoslavia, Feb. 20, 1879.He came to America in 1908 and worked as a woodsman until 1924 when he became employed by the Munising Paper Co. He retired in 1934 because of ailing 1 health, but has since returned to work as a woodsman.Mrs. Kordish and three of their eight children, Louis, Frank and Mary) came to the United States in 1914 and tHe family settled in Midway, here in Alger county. Later they moved to Newberry and in 1924 came to Munising. The other children are Victor, John, Sophie, Vincent and Joseph. There also are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.A reception in honor oT Mr. and Mrs. Kordish will be held at their home Sunday afternoon
