MRS MARGARET S.KAUFFMAN, 75. wjdow of I William B Kauffman, 232 W 1 Main St, died at 1'45 a.m ' Sunday at the Waynesboro ^ Hospital She had been in failing health for* several years and was critically ill since Tuesday * „when she was admitted to the * hospital after suffering a heart j attack.Mrs. Kauffman was born in Waynesboro, July 16, 1895, c daughter of the late Harry T. * and Laura C. (Beard) Shearer. 5 All her life was lived in 1 Waynesboro 1Following her graduation • from the Waynesboro High 1 Schpolrfwith the class of 1914, she I was employed as a secretary for a number of years. {She later became a registered 1 nurse after receiving her { training at the Garfield 1 Memorial Hospital in { Washington, D. C For several years she was employed at the ) Waynesboro Hospital and prior 1 to her retirement in 1964, Mrs I Kauffman was the company nurse at Landis Machine Co. for over 25 years. \Her husband died in 1948. (, Mrs Kauffman was lt;a member of the Church of the * Brethren. She was also a member of the Republican Club and the AARP.She is survived by four Jstepchildren: Rudolph Kauffman, Miss Margaret Kauffman, Mrs Mary Flory and Mrs. Arlene Baker, all of ! Waynesboro Also surviving are ' five stepgrandchildren, three step great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Mrs Rhoda Purdy, Marsh Creek Heights, Mrs Goldie Biaha, C Donald Shearer and Ralph J Shearer, all of Waynesboro, Edward E Shearer, Hershey, Mrs Harvey Hamil, New Mexico and Fred C Shearer, Chambersburg The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p m in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Wilber Sites and the Rev Robert Flory The interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p m today
