The celebrants request “no girts.”The former Fay Hill and Doyle Sorenson have been residents of this area throughout their marriage. All of their children were graduated from either Marysville or Lindhurst High Schools.Although Mrs. Sorenson was a homemaker, she returned to school and was graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education and a teaching credential.Sorenson owned and operated a freight and moving business in this area for 20 years before he sold in I960. Since retiring, he has studied and researched the causes and prevention of diseases.In 1982, Sorenson earned his Ph.D. in nutritional science from the College of Life Science at Austin, Texas.Their children include: Julia Wicker of Logan, Utah; Dianne Hoffman of Elk Grove, Eula Mae Dvorak of Riverside, Carolyn White of Mira Loma, Carma Helzer of Pacheco, Antone Sorenson of Live Oak, Alayna Mofhitz of Watergate, Nathan Sorenson of Yuba City and Colleen Richey of Paola, Kans.They also have 37 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
