Final party of the silver anni- j versary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Stauter was the “open house” held Sunday from 5 to 8 pjn., in their home, 212 Lexington ave.Relatives and friends called to congratulate the couple, who celebrated their anniversary with a nuptial mass in St. Mary’s! church Saturday morning.A variety of flowers decorated the rooms where guests gathered.The dining room, was in white, with accents of gieen. Center of attraction was the book-shaped cake in the middle of the table. In the form of an open book with a silver book mark at the open pages, the cake bore the inscription, “Memories of 25 years, 1913-1938; Lcfre. Content tt^e n t. !Friends.” Fink roses and lilies of the valley decorated the top.The hostess, was assisted in entertaining and in serving ice i cream and cake by her daughters, ; Helen, Margaret and Mary; her; listers, the Misses 'Bessie and : Josie Hicks, and mother.
