The steamship Liberia, known as Chief Sam's ship, is still berthed at pier -41 of the Galveston Wharf Company. Every day since her landing at the pier an admission of 50 cents -has been eliJifged to -got. on board, which entitles yoh^.tp an inspection of the ship and an iutferviow with the chief. Last Sunday was a glorious day from the-fact that in, the aft ernoon a big religious meeting Went on and the several hundred of these people from Oklahoma .were present, besides several hundred of othcr colored people lookers-on. prayers and songs of the Lord were heard and .fudge Sawyer and others spoke on the pur-Xo^, of nie“paek-to-Africa movement. The meeting was held under a larfee shed just a short distance from where the Liberia is lying. Chief Sam spoke on the occasion.
