She did recall some of the more primitive methods of farming then employed, such as planting corn by hand with the apparatus the farmer stuck in the ground for each hill planted.And she recalled it wasnecessary for the men to make bands of the straw to tie bundles of wheat or oats when this crop was harvested. But mostly, phe remembered happv family times together with strong family ties for a family occupying the same land for four generations.
