PLAYERS OF V/EEK—Den Dumke, left, and Don Lehmann today were honored as the players of the week in the junior boys' baseball program. Dumke pitched a no-hitter as his Louisville Sluggers buried the Junior Sluggers 29*1 in a Major A A League game. Lehmann also authored a no-hitter. His came in the Major A loop as the Junior Indians scalped the Junior Yankees, 28-1. Both made auspicious mound debuts, this week by pitching no-hitters in the junior boys baseball program.A 14-ycar-oId, 345-pounder, Dumke now is in his second season of junior boys baseball. He will be a freshman in high school this fall. He is the son of Mrs. Albina Dumke, 78 Boyd St.Dumke authored his no-hitter as the Sluggers swamped the Junior Sluggers. 23-1. In that game, the AA's player of the week collected two triples and two singles infour trips to the plate. He played softball, basketball and football at Longfellow School.Lehmann, son of Mr. Mrs. (Robert Lehmann, 3265 Knapp St., \earned the Major A loop'.- player jof the week title by holding the Junior Yankees hitless as his team rolled to a 28-1 conquest.Although he is only 11 years of age, Lehmann is in his third season with the junior boys program. Like Dumke. he tips the scale at 145. Besides pitching that no-hitter, Lehmann collected two triples, one with the bases loaded, and a single to aid his own cause.Both players of the week list the Milwaukee Braves as their favorite major league team. Dumke's favorite player is the Braves' Eddie Mathews, while Lehmann idolizes Andy Pafko.
