CONFIRMS REPORT.Stevens .Pointer Returns After Personal Inspection of the Golden. Seal.Norman Gotehy returned Monday afternoon from Yellville, Ark., where he has spent a month, as the special representative of Dr. Lahn conducting a private inspection of the lay of the land in the Ozark zinc district where the Stevens Point interests are located. Mr. Gotehy has had two years’ experience in the zinc district and is fully posted on the' points of importance in determining the value of a mining proposition.He returns very enthusiastic over the Golden Seal proposition, which is the latest discovery in the field and which has been secured by Stevens Point Interests. This property is located across the road and on the opposite side of a deep gully from the famous Homestake strike, which has been, in operation for some time and is said to be paying big dividends. The Homestake is owned by a close corporation of Pittsburg capitalists and is one of the most noted properties in the district. The ore outcrops can be traced from the surface indications for upwards of 250 yards. The recent owner has opened five prospects on thevein and ha's upwards of 75 tons of■ore on the dumps.* This ore is almostall clear dry bone or the fine ore canbe shipped to the mill in the form inwhich it is mined. The mine is fivemiles from Yellville or three miles fromPhillipi, the last named town being onthe new railroad.
