Off to Budapest for IFCBA meetingCUSTOMS BROKERS Ivanhoc Ricketts (second left) and Rupert Guthrie (second fight) recently attended a meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Customs Brokers Association (IFCBA) in Budapest, Hungary. Ricketts and Guthrie, executive members of the Customs Brokers Association of Jamaica(CBAJ), are the CBAJ's representatives to the IFCBA Board of Directors, and participated in the international organisation’s strategy formulation and election of new directors and executive committees for 1997-99.In photo, CBAJ president T. The IFCBA wasestablished in 1990 to encourage co-operation, affiliation and information exchange among national customs brokers associations at the international level.IFCBA membership now comprises twenty-one countries, including Jamaica. Jamaica was recently selected to host the sixth IFCBA World Conference in the year 2000.
