It was sponsored by the Mount Prospect Jayceee.Miss Pearse's dance, to the music of “An American in Paris, won acclaim from judges and ohserveis of the pageant at the Prospect High School Theater.Still, the University of Illinois junior, was surprised when the 1973 Miss Mount Prospect, Susan Dawn Busch, placed the crown on her head. “When they were naming the runners-up, I was. just positive I wouldn't get anything, she remarked later.First runner-up was Debora Ursln, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ursin, 707 N. Falrview Ave„ Mount Prospect, who sang “At the Crossroads. Second runner-up was DebWe Rhodes, daughter of Mrs, Claudia Seversen, 1443 Fern Dr., Mount Prospect, who did as interpretive dance to “SkylarkOlos, 251 Springfield Ter., Des Plaines; and Frandne Spores, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Spores, 1705 Laurel Dr., Mount Prospect.to winning. Miss Pearse, will go on and compete In the Miss Illinois Pageant next month In Aurora and will ride in the Mount Prospect 4th of July Parade.
