He paid the girl’s way across (the sea and worked his own way across on the same vessel. When they reajched Virginia, they were married.One of their daughters married a man by the name of Smith about the year. 177 5. They moved to North j Carolina. A daughter was born to the Smith-Mooney couple and about the year 17 95 she married Charles Bailey in Kentucky. One of ithe children of Charles Bailey and his wife was Rebecca Bailey who married William Benefield in Lawrence county, Indiana, at Bedford.““To William and Rebecca Benefield were born seven children, Mary Maxwell, Willis Benefield, Susan Liston, John Benefield Washington Benefield, Mary Jane Dudley and Sallie McGrew. All these children are now dead evcept Susan Liston, 96 years old, who despite her great age retains a wonderful memory and who gives the foregoing facts to TheTimes from memory.Mrs. Liston is the mother of FrateC.
