Former Judge's Wife Wonts More SupportGREENSBURG, . (UPl) — The estranged wife of Supreme Court Justice Louis L. Manderino is bitter about the $12,210 a year support that a Westmoreland County Judge awarded to her .and her two minor children.‘1 I feel like my children...that they should be living like the children of a Supreme Court judge,” Theresa Manderino of Monesscn, said after the award was announced. She said Pennsylvania’s divorce and support laws needed to be overhauled.She said her new Income would place her within a couple hundred dollars of food stamp eligibility.Common Pleas Judge Robert II. Rial Wednesday dismissed a request by Manderino’s daughter, Susan. 18, for $5,000 annually in college expenses, noting that Maderino said at a June 9 support hearing that he would gladly pay his daughter's school costs.But Susan said she did not trust her father.To me he has no honor. she said.And even if he keeps his word. Susan said, she would not be able to accept the money, since her mother and sisters each won’t.have that much to live on.I don’t think I need it more than they do. she said.Mrs. Manderino had asked for $$1,000 in annual support. She said she will appeal the award which, after taxes, mortgage and utility payments, would leave her with about $450 per month.Her daughters. Laurie, 14. and Amy. tl. referred to the award as a ripoff. Mrs. Manderino said.The Manderino’s income tax returns last year showed a gross income of $107,000 and spendable income of $68,000.Manderino’s salary as a Supreme Court justice is $55,554.
