Otto Fink'Otto P. Fink was born on March 11, 1898 on a farm near Fairbank to August and Eraelia (Frederieh) Fink. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fairbank. On November 5, 1924 he married Hilda Margaret Hill at Fairbank and they had five children: Arlen James who passed away in early childhood, Lyle, Dale, Norman and Alpha. Their early married life was spent farming near Fairbank and Orari. They came to the Westgate area in 1937. Mr. Fink farmed near Westgate until his retirement in 1856, Since that time, he made his home in Westgate. He attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Westgate. He is survived by three sons, Lyle, Maynard, Dale, Denver and Norman, Westgate; and one daugh: ter, Alpha (Mrs. Donald Wuertz) Hinton; seventeen grandchildren; five. brothers: Fred and Oscar of Oehvein; Carl,. Paul and Pay of Fairbank; and five sisters: Mrs. Lena Reiter, Mrs. Anna Heth and Mrs. Esther McLaury of Fairbank; Mrs. Sophia Fuller of Waterloo and Mrs. Dorothy Lau of Oelwein. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, two grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services were held Friday, June 19 at -St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Westgate.
