‘Ambassador FloresMany of us don’t realize it, but living here in Deming is a “Minister of State and Good-Will Ambassador at Large.” Trustee Ernest Flores has been given full “Ambassadorial Accreditation” for the Sovereign Free State of Socorro.You all have heard of Socorro, the New Mexico community which suddenly found out it was not a part of anything and jumped on the chance to make itself a free state. We don’t know if Flores intends to pull up stakes and go to that “tax-free and self-governing community.”But we do know that he has a large official piece of pa- j per designating him as a goodwill ambassador and minister of state—which, we are reliably informed, allows him a high credit rating at Donaldson’s store.
