! ARTHURDALE. W Va, June 21- Mias Shirley Doris Stoothoff, daughter of Mr. and Mr*. William W. Stoothoff of Battle Creek, Mich, became the bride of Mar-i vin Luca* Thalman, eon of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Thalman of Ar-thurdale. In a ceremony performed at 2 o’clock Saturday in th* ; home of the bride's parent* at ; Battle Creek Twenty-five guest* witnessed the single i ing ceremony which was read by the Rev. Henry IJddicoat before an altar of ferns, rose*, white Iris, and peoniesThe bride wore a white gown of marquisette and Chantilly lace with bouffant skirt. A f Inge!-tip veil of tulle fell from a satin and pearl coronet. She carried a bouquet of white roaes, sweet pea*, and lillie* of the valley tied with white satin stnameis Attending the bride was Mis* Charlotte Tiffany of Pontiac, Mich, who wore a dies* of blue lace and carried sweet peas and ro*e«.Albert Thalman Jr. of Arthur-dale, brother of the groom, was beat man and William Stoothoff and Robert Stoothoff were usher*. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The wadding mu*ir whs played by Mr* Arthur J{ Balfour. The bride* mother was attired in powder blue silk withwhite accessories and a corsageof rosebud* and sweet pea*. A dress of coral silk was worn by the mother of the bridegroom. Her accessories were white and her eoraage of iri* and lillie* of the valley.Following the ceremony a gar den reception for 75 guest* washeld at the home of the bride'* parent*. The bride* table In white was centered by a wedding cake flanked by white rose* and taner* In crystal holder*. After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs Thalman will make their home at 26 Harvard St., Battle Creek, where Mr. Thalman is employed at the Duplex Printing Pres* Company.Mr. and Mr*. Albert Thalman, Albert Thalman Jr. of Arthurdale. and Mr*. W. O. Reed of Bretx, grandmother of the groom, were present at both the wedding and reception. The Stoothoff family are former residents of Arthurdale, having moved to Battle (’reek a year ago.
