Wright, an oldHarbor Springs boy, and a printerwell known to the Democrat editor. It was reported that Mr. Wright haddied at Lansing last winter, and the report it seems was printed in all of the state papers, but it seems this was erroneous and that our good friend is very much alive and able to produce another work that is gaining a lot of very favorable comment.“The Great Myth ” by John C. Wright, is a new book from the press of the Michigan Educational company, 117 W. Shiawassee St., It is a handsomely bound volume of ISO pages, dealing with a mythical character, known as k the Wonder Worker of the American Indians— “Na^na Bo~sho,” he whom they say made the Niagara Falls the pictured rocks, etc.The tale begins with the • mound builder era and in a swiftly moving plot records incidents and events that startle the reader by the mysteries they solve regaining our continent as revealed in the old Indian traditions. sThe author informs us that he spent many years in research work, studying the language, legends and history of the Indians, as well as the mounds and artifacts of the mound people. A pretty love story with many thrilling episodes carries the happy ending which occurs on Mackinac Island. This is therefore truly a Michigan story.Mr. Wright * ” is now a resident of Lansing, has several other volumes to his credit, among them “The Crooked Tree” and “Northern Breezes,” which scored heavily in the resort country a few ye^rs ago*For a delightful and intensely interesting story we can cheerfully recommend “The Great Myth.”nV.X.X, TRANSMITTED SPEECH
