About 2,000 visitors toured the exhibits of 200 paintings byAmerican aotists.The initial officers: ErnestDewey, president; Mrs. Richard Hamilton, vice-president; Mrs J.W. Jarrott, secretary-treasurer.Directors: Delos V, Smith jr., Mrs. Eugene White, Mrs. Elma Muir, Stuart Awbrey, Mrs.,J. Richards Hunter, Shirley Crawford, Mrs. F. Gale Alien.The directors agreed the interest in the first art show justified a continuing organization here,ThCy planned the coming year’s activities, including cooperating with the Sate Fatr art exhibit, and a new show featuring Hutchin* on artists and photographers.The art show Itself came to a halt at 4 p.m. Sunday.
