Lilly, head of the local congregation in Bcckley.The assembly will conclude at 4:30 p.m. today.Jehovah's Witnesses Meeting In CityThe first circuit assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses held in Beckley since 1965 began Saturday at 1:55 p. m. at the Raleigh County Armory with approximately 1,500 members attending from 23 congregations in West Virginia Circuit Number Two, which includes southern West Virginia and parts of Kentucky.Activities designed to “teachbetter methods of Bible education,’’ discussions, and dramatizations are scheduled, during the two-day meeting.According to Jack Capeheart, Witness news service representative, members come to the convention at their own expense and 20 departments, includingFloyd F. Garrett, a traveling housing, are set up to managedistrict overseer who attends 24 similar conferences each year, will give the principal Bible lecture at 2 p. m. today, which is open to the public. He is one of 31 district overseers who visit 350 circuits in the country.
