Golden Wedding Open House June 26 To Honor Mr. and Mrs. John EdwardsA prominent Freedom couple will celebrate the 50th year of their marriage next week. Mr. and Mrs. John Edwards will be honored with an open house at the;r home Sunday. June 26. from 2 to 6 p.m., to which all their friends and relatives are cordially invited. They ask that there be no gifts.Although their anniversary date falls on June 22, the openhouse will be held June 26.John Edwards and Lu Annie Hokanson Edwards were married June 22, 1910 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Edwards has lived in Freedom since he was a young boy, and the couple has resided there since their marriage.The Edwards’ have rearedseven children, all of whom are living. They are Margaret and Rex Edwards, Freedom; Tressie Eggleston, and Florize Hep-worth, Grover; Eva Petersen, Soda Springs; Kenneth Edwards, Idaho Falls; and LaVal Edwards, Murray, Utah. They have 38 living grandchildren.Mr. Edwards has been a farmer most of his life. In early days, he did some freighting by wagon between Montpelier and Star Valley.Mr. and Mrs. Edwards have both been active in church work in the Freedom Ward, and arerespected citizens of the community.MR.
