looth McWhorter reunionWAS HELD IN ATHENSThe 100th McWhorter Family Keunion wps held June 11th at the Center of Continuing Education on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens.Local members of the Mc-“Whorter family who attended the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. Freeman, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M'. Freeman Jr. and Kristie,Douglas Freeman and Mr/ and*Mrs. John Lewis Garter.After a buffet luncheon in the Center banquet hall, Dr.* Boyd McWhorter of the university presented the speaker, Dr. Noah Langdale, president of Georgia State College, who gave a very interesting talk, giving some of the highlights of early McWhorter family history.
