Body IdentifiedMARTINSVILLE, tnd lt;UP1 — The body of a woman stuffed into a barrel and dumped into the White Lick Creek near Mooresville was identified Wednesday as that of a Hendricks County waitress missing for a year.Pathologists made a positive identifcation through dental records, authorities said.They said the victim was Mary Ann Higginbotham, 21. She lived at Clayton at the time she disappeared on June 6, 1978 However, her parents since have moved to Brooklyn in Morgan County and not far from where the body wasdiscovered by a teen ager on June 4.Authorities said they were looking for the victim's boy' friend who is believed to have disappeared about the same time as Miss Higginbotham was reported missing.Dr. John Pless of Blooming' ton said identification was fairly easy because of extensive dental work Miss Higginbotham had undergone.Pless also said the victim had suffered a single gunshot wound in the back of the head. But he explained he could not be positive that was what killed her.
