SHEAKLEYVILLEHigh School Alamnl Banquet At-tendod by 118; Baptist Missionary Society Meets in Grove City-The High School Alumni held their annual banquet at the I. O. O. F. hall Saturday evening. There were 113 served. The class of 1920 were the honor guests this year. Isaac I* Strlght, '32 was toastmaster. The invocation was by Rev. K. B. Llnlng-er, Group Binging was led by Prof. W. A. Dickson. Miss Grace Thompson was pianist. George Barnhart '38, president gave the welcome. Response for class of 1040 was by James Arbucklo and for the honored class, 1920 was by Lawrence Turner.Uuncle Hens Question Bee conducted by Prof. Henry Williams was very good. Those who took part were Leona Scrlven Kiser, Margaret Wright George, Gerald Hazen and Lee Vaughn. Questions unanswered were given to the audience. Following this was a guitar solo by Frederick Strlght ’32; a reading: St. Peter at the Gate/* by Louise Caldwell; a quartette, Come Whero the Lilies Bloom/' by Mary Cousins '29, Grace Hildebran, Ernest Moyer ’14, and Arthur Kuhn *19. Grace Thompson, '28, pianist; a play, Way Back When a presentation of a one room school of long ago under tho direction of Kennedy Graham was given. The cast included: Teacher, Rose Bishop Perrin© *19; Mr, Liver, the trustee, Kennedy Graham; pupils, Margaret Wright George, Martha Belle Martin, Grace Hildebran, Anna Hoobler Graham, Ellen Moyer. Melva Thompson, Ethel Foust Hildebran, Minnie McCracken Findley, Kenneth Hazen, Bud May, FYank Newbold, Albert Cbenowith, Joe Kosick, Clinton Bishop and Ruthclfflons/' Mrs. Chester Osborn; talk on Baptist Missions; talk on missions to the Jews, Mrs. G. L Howe; duet, Follow Me/' Mrs. Howe; duet, Follow Me/' Mrs, Howe and Mildred Williams; song, Onward Christian Soldiers/' The remaining time wad spent sewing und In a social way. Tho next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Harry Bromley in AJeadviJte.BRIEFSMrs, Kelso and the Senior Class of the High School returned Thursday evening from a trip to the World's Fair at New York. They also went on several interesting sld© trips and report a very profitable time.Mrs, Vance Partridge Is not any better. She is still at the bom© of her sister at Sandy Lake, Mrs. Matilda Price continues about the eame. Myrtle English Is improving but will be confined to bed this week.Miss Evelyn Loper who has been a buyer for the Erl© Dry Goods Company at Erie several years is leaving Wednesday morning for Muncie, Ind. where she will be employed by the Ball Department Store as buyer in the coat and suit department.Oliver Carey and family of Lima, O., were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R, Partridge.Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thompson of Mercer called at the W. C Thompson home recently.Mr. and Mrs. Carl McCracken attended the electrical display at th© experimental farm of R N.
