FAIR VIEW(By The Oazette’e Correspondent)Fairview, June 11.—Miss E.Ripley of the nursing staff at the local hospital tendered her resignation some weeks ago and last Friday left for Calgary where sheplans to be married the latter part of the month. Prior to her going the ladies of the town met at the Bank of Commerce building whevt a very enjoyable evening was spent and a slower given to Miss Ripley. At the Nurse's home the Women's Institute made her apresentation.Mrs. J. Moffat of Fairview has been accepted to fill the vacancyon the nursing staff. Hoveve MissM. Campbell from St. Aiberi is engaged as relief nurse for the present.Born to Mr. and Mrs. F Lan caster, of Bluesky, a baby boy on June 4th at the local hospital.The laying of new sidewalks through the residential section of Fairview is occupying the attention of the town council and the town residents at present.Word reached Fairview or Saturday that Mrs. Dcherty of the David Thompson communitx who has been doctoring for some months in Edmonton for cance’ passed away on Saturday. It is expected that the funeral will be at Edmonton on Tuesday of this week.Mr. Robinson, of Whi elaw, passed away at the local hotpital Saturday night.
