50 Years AgoJune 13, 1937—Generally known as “Bill” Growden, U.S. Commissioner William N. Growden probably has more jobs and titles to his credit than even his best friends suspect. Besides his job as commissioner, he is a probate judge, coroner, notary, city councilman and police commissioner, recorder, justice of the peace, territorial license collecting officer, licensing officer for the Alaska Game Commission, registar of Vital Statistics, vice commander of the Dorman H. Baker Post of the American Legion, messenger in the B.P.O. Elks No 1551, and a member of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers. All this by the age of 45 years.25 Years AgoJune 13, 1962—Mrs. Paul B.
