Anniversary Reception Given for R. C. MartinsHAMILTON — More than 200guests attended an open houseSunday afternoon in the home ofMr, and Mrs. Robert C. MartinSr., who were celebrating their 50ih wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Martin Jr., and their children, Linda, John, James, Robert III, William and Anthony, were in charge of arrangements.Mr. and Mrs. Martin, who were married March 8th, 1916, in the home of Mrs. Martin’s sister, Mrs. Anthony Cooper, Toronto, both are natives of the area. She was the former Sarah Clark, daughter of Charnel and Malinda Richardson Clark, early day Woodson County pioneers. Mr, Martin’s parents, the late John T. and CordeliaStone Martin, were early settlers in Greenwood County and homesteaded near Madison Junetion.J ☆ ☆BUSHONG — The members of the Jolly Jaynes Club were dinner guests Wednesday of Mrs. William Richards, Council Grove. The afternoon was spent at Mrs. Richards’ home, and the hostess gift was received by Mrs. Sampson Teel. There were 11 members present, and Mrs, V. S. Barr, Council Grove, was a guest.
