The MuddsFriends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mudd attended a reception in their honor Saturday, June 10, at the Knights of Columbus in celebration of the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary.Charles Mudd and Martha Carey were married June 9, 1939, at the St. Mary’s Church rectory by the Rev. Francis Neisen. They have lived in Mr. Mudd’s childhood home at 212* McKinley St. for 42 years.Mr. Mudd retired from the Anderson Fire Department in 1968 and from the Union Pipe Tradesin 1988 as a journeyman pipefitter.He also is a licensed plumbing contractor who operated his own business from 1948 to 1971. Mrs. Mudd was secretary/bookkeeper in the business and also has worked at Floppies Refrigerator Service and Sales since 1969They are the parents of John Mudd, Mrs. Susie Walker, Sam Mudd, Pete Mudd and Paul Mudd, all of Anderson, and Mrs. Terry Karwowski of Indianapolis. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Martha Charles Mudd*
