Radio Address. The 166th anniversary of the American flag on Monday, June 14, will furnish the theme for the 31st in a. series of “Speak Up for Democracy talks to be heard over Station WHIZ at 8:15 o'clock Friday evening, under the sponsorship of George Selsam Post No. 1058, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States,Radio listeners* in this area will hear this Flag. Day address delivered ,hy . Attorney Clarence J.Crossland representing Post., No. 1058. On the same day other V. a. W. speakers will be. heard on 478 radio stations from coast to coast. This series of Americanism talks was inaugurated by the V. F. W. in December, 1940.Emphasizing the theme that the American flag symbolizes the ideal of liberty and justice for all,*' Mr. Crossland will stress the significance of this ideal during' the present crisis in the nation’s history. '
